Sunset Magazine: "Meet the undiscovered wine region of your dreams"

Southern Oregon was one of only three wine regions featured in Sunset magazine's October cover article "The Best of Wine Country".  Sharing space with Napa and Santa Barbara we are now being recognized for our geographic beauty, uncrowded and friendly tasting rooms and, not just the diversity of varietals that thrive here, but the quality of the wine.

Rachel Levin writes:  "Meet the undiscovered wine country of your dreams:  For the wine minded traveler, this destination feels almost utopian.  Here, tasting fees cost less than a latte; hotel rates are actually reasonable; wineries go way beyond water crackers...and unlike any other wine regions in the West- all kinds of grapes thrive."

DANCIN, Quady North and Cowhorn received special recognition along with McCully House Inn and Gogi's restaurant.

The October issue also includes Sunset's Wine Competition Winners.  This competition included nearly 3,000 entrants.  Several Southern Oregon wineries which entered the competition came away with top honors.
